I believe a new tradition has been started. For a belated anniversary celebration, Taylor's parents graciously offered to watch Owen so that Taylor and I could go solo for a couple of days. We decided to visit Sheperdstown, West Virginia, because it is not too far from the in-laws' house, it is a "small, college town" (who doesn't love those), and it possessed a hotel that had been recommended to me by a friend (The Bavarian Inn).
The first step was to say goodbye to this cutie.
We hit Harper's Ferry for lunch.
Taylor always takes a picture of me looking at the menu whenever we go out, which is, like, twice a year.
When we reached Sheperdstown, we checked into our room at the Bavarian Inn.
Here's the view of the Potomac River from our tiny balcony.
At the Blue Moon Cafe.
Getting treats at the Sheperdstown Sweet Shop.
Back in Front Royal, we enjoyed the view from the in-laws' deck.
Let's face it, the East Coast rocks.
Hey, Ceri -- You're right! I should take a pic of the shoes I most commonly wear! If I wear a lot of color or brown tones, I use leopard print flats as my little fun pattern-mixing. I also have a pair of black sparkly flats that I wear with black/gray tones. And most commonly I wear brown booties with jeans/corduroys (they're also flat... I hate heels!). Knee-high flat boots come out with skirts....
