Ok, so if that donut meter tracked calories consumed, I'd be in the hole about a million donuts. But, if I'm offered cake twice in one day by two separate kind and giving people, surely it's rude to refuse? Am I right?
I'm excited about starting this new week, however, because Tuesday morning I'm going to have a go at running again. My knee tendon feels less sore, so I believe the rest and anti-inflammatories are doing it good. I'm not sure how many miles to do my first time out: maybe 3? Tomorrow morning I'm going to Power Yoga with L at Gold's, which will also give me a boost since I've been feeling quite weak and jiggly recently.
I don't know how this came up (let's blame Taylor), but we've got Owen thinking he needs a pull-up bar. Owen has been inquiring recently if he has any muscles in his arms, specifically, his biceps, which is all because one of his classmates said Owen hadn't any. I could point out to this classmate that at least Owen has perfect vision instead of having the burdensome and often unfashionable flaw of glasses, but that would be cruel. I'll save that for the high school bullies. So, Taylor mentioned that when he was younger, he had a pull-up bar so he could get bigger muscles. First of all, . . . the image of a young, melancholy, Jack-Kerouac-loving Tay cranking out some chin-ups is just too much to handle. And how did I not hear this story earlier? Now Owen thinks the bar might be the way to go. If we get one, I might be spending a lot of time dangling from Owen's doorway.
Here's a list of some new stuff we have, all of which I'm excited to show my Mum when she comes up to visit this week:
1. rain barrel (now full of rain)
2. new shed, which resembles a cozy guest cottage
3. two wooden adirondack chairs
4. solar lights for the front (uneven and weed-covered) walkway
5. LED cat toy
Later,
Allen has a pull up bar and the kids love it! The X ray men took a second look when that bag went through the scanner! Back in the UK, using a Dongle and it's crap - reception here is worse than the Falklands and I never thought that was possible. Weather is glorious so I'm happy. No washing machine or dishwasher at the mo, storage van should be here in the hour. Looking forward to seeing what we stored 5 years ago!

I want an LED cat toy! But not a pull up bar. I'll eat my way to bigger biceps.

Did you mention that eating something might
help in the muscle department?
