We met friends at Ikea yesterday for lunch and some ball-pit action. I was strong and resisted the allure of many, many pretty duvets. Owen lucked out, though, and left with a new desk and chair for his room. We're hoping that having his own creative space will encourage him to spend countless hours doodling, journaling, drafting, and anything else that made lead to his eventual awesomeness in adulthood.
After we (let's be honest, Taylor) assembled the desk with its red legs and its smell of newness, Owen plonked down at it saying, "I'm a lucky kid." The first item he placed on his desk was his Tae Kwon Do trophy. Today we need to continue sorting through the debris that was scattered all over his room so that the desk would fit.
Good idea, flights should be cheaper as we flew from Denver over Thanksgiving and could even afford an upgrade!

Gonna sort through some younger toys to donate/throw out. His trophy came from Tae Kwon Do; each kid got one when they received their first belt. Would love to visit Netherlands. What about November? It would be a really fun Thanksgiving break for us.

So what's gone out of his room to fit it in? Jacob's into his desk. What's this about a trophy? Picked up our new car today, it's lovely and smells good. Come and see us in Holland x
