Owen had a full day of school today as a makeup for all those snow days. I had a nice 5 mile run in the morning and actually got some work done. I'm so much happier to see Owen after I've had a productive day.
Now Owen and his friend Ezra are hanging out, and I'm trying not to freak out about the "blue" day that appeared on Owen's behaviour chart. Just to clarify, here is the breakdown of bad behaviour:
Purple = great
Green = good
Blue = warning
Yellow = time out/no recess
Red = note home
What made Owen so emboldened? Did he knife a classmate? Nah, that would probably be at least a yellow, right? I can't wait to hear this story. All I know is that Owen sounds awfully cocky. Maybe his orthodontia has granted him some cool points, like, he's practically a tween or something.
Why can't kids be perfect?
