Owen and I are sitting side-by-side at the desk, each on our own Mac. We've been trapped at home since Friday: he's got a nasty cold and we're both slowly dying from boredom.
This weekend Taylor was in New York so Mum came up to keep us company and help us fight the blahs that come with winter weather and lack of activity. She read to Owen for hours, watched a movie with him so that I could tidy, and played Nerf target practice.
In the evening we celebrated still being alive by trying out some Thibaut-Janisson Virginia Sparkling Wine. I'll describe the taste in the only way I know how: It tasted pretty good.
Last night, when Taylor was describing one of the pieces he had seen at the Drawing Center in SOHO, I asked, "But did it look good?" I guess my wine tasting skills match those I possess for art criticism.
